Schoenaich Rees Landscape Architects' garden designs are a fusion of historic English and contemporary continental influences. They see gardens as an extension of the house, a space to be lived in and used. Vegetation and the dynamic change of colour and texture throughout the year form a focus for their designs. Both partners were gardeners before studying design and have a passion for plants. This hands-on experience leads to designs that can planted and maintained within the allocated budget.
They have been involved in long-term consultancy
and design work in restoration projects for a number of historic
sites including a Gertrude Jekyll garden at Combend Manor.
The drawing above is of the gardens of three contemporary
houses.
