After the Waren House was extensively restored
by Ivor Cunningham Architects, Schoenaich Rees developed a management plan for
the grounds. This Edwardian mansion in Surrey was built for Princess Charlotte.
In the late 19th century the grounds were the home of the Veitch Nursery and
many rare and mature specimens are to be found within the gardens and in the
adjacent Japanese Garden. It was later used as ICI's International Conference
Centre.
Schoenaich Rees were garden advisors for a period of seven
years during which time their designs for the walled garden and the grotto were
implemented. Additional designs for seasonal planting were put in place with
plants that were contract grown. Patterns were designed in a naturalistic style
with images and colour themes changing throughout the growing season.
