This annual meadow was sown in April and a piece of urban wasteland wedged between two sides of a dual carriageway was transformed into a colourful meadow. Schoenaich Rees' research shows that these annual meadows can be sustained for up to four years without re-sowing. They can create instant beauty in an area with an immature landscape.
